2008 Southern
Expressions Drill Team
Southern Expressions Drill Team is an equestrian performance drill team from Alpharetta, Georgia. Our first
performance was the Georgia State Horse Fair drill team competition in January 2002 with the team taking
Reserve Champion. One year later we returned to claim Champion in the youth division and took the High
Point trophy for the entire competition. This was a wonderful experience, however the team had a dream of
being a rodeo drill team, not just a competition team. After networking, making appearances at an
occasional rodeo, the team began to ride for Clyde Gilmer, stock contractor of Tri-County Rodeo Company .
That was 6 years and over 80 rodeos ago! The girls will be riding for the Bar W Rodeo Company during this
2008 season with Anothony Woody and will add North Carolina to their rodeo travels. We have also added 3R
Rodeo Company, Dale Ray stock contractor to our list of rodeos. The drill team is comprised of young ladies
from the North East Georgia area ranging in ages from 15-24. Southern Expressions Drill Team is proud to
perform at rodeos in Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and Mississippi.The team rode at Biloxi, MS in 2005 and in
Philadelphia, MS in 2007, where the girls were honored to perform at the PCA Finals Rodeo.  To see this team
