Terry May, a native of Huntland, has
seen this town develop into what it is
for the last 50 years. There have been
many highs and lows throughout the
time, but a few things have remained
the same: COMMUNITY, FAMILY
VALUES, and EXCELLENCE. It was only
until recently he stepped from one role,
concerned citizen and businessman, to
another role, government making a
difference.
One of Mayor May’s goals while in office
is to bring our community back
together. Cleaning up our town has
also been very important. It is his
dream to furnish and finance through
fundraising and grants a new
playground and park area for our
children, as well as provide the much
needed support of our youth and its
recreation. By promoting physical
activity, our children will make for a
greater tomorrow for them health wise,
as well as self-confidence. All of these
goals are an effort to conserve this
community’s character, which is the
ultimate goal.
